Action group ‘The Save Movement’ demonstrates at Vion location in Boxtel

On Tuesday 9 May 2017 an action took place at the Vion location in Boxtel. This concerned a demonstration by Action group ‘The Save Movement’ against slaughtering animals and the consumption of meat. Vion’s point of view is to practice the entire process carefully - from the transport of the animals up to and including the abattoir processes – in view of the welfare of the animals.

Bert Urlings: “Action group ‘The Save Movement’ has the right to give its opinion about the slaughtering of animals and the consumption of meat, and to demonstrate. Vion carries topics such as food safety, product integrity, transparency and animal health high on its agenda. We act responsibly in these matters. Vion is involved intensively in the societal dialogue with all stakeholders and cooperates with the Dierenbescherming (NGO for animal protection).

Our starting point is to practice the entire process carefully - from the transport of the animals up to and including the abattoir processes - in view of the welfare of the animals. In doing so we follow strict guidelines.
