Appointment of top meat sector executive strengthens Vion Food
Ronald Lotgerink joins Supervisory Board
2 July 2014 – Vion Food has expanded its Supervisory Board with the appointment of a top executive from the meat sector. Ronald Lotgerink, who is 53 and CPA, became a new member of the Supervisory Board on 1 July and will devote particular attention to finances and market conditions. Ronald Lotgerink is currently CEO of the Zwanenberg Food Group, one of the leading producers and exporters of meat and canned meat products in Europe. Before joining the Zwanenberg Food Group, Ronald Lotgerink worked as a consultant for KPMG accountants and Klynveld Bosboom Hegener. Lotgerink is also a member of the board for the ‘Ik kies bewust’ foundation, which promotes healthy eating.
As a member of the Supervisory Board for Vion Food, Ronald Lotgerink will primarily focus on the financial aspects of the company and on the market conditions within the meat sector. “We are delighted that Ronald is putting his experience behind Vion,” said Michiel Herkemij. “Under his leadership, the Zwanenberg Food Group, through innovation and prudent acquisitions, has grown to become a major market player with strong brands.”
