Encebe Vleeswaren

Encebe Vleeswaren has been a renowned name in the field of processed meat products since 1929. With thorough product knowledge and extensive experience in traditional processing, the organisation supplies basic products such as boiled sausages, cooked hams, liver products, dried sausages and smoked (bacon) products. The location also collaborates closely with customers to develop its own specialties and customer-specific products that are supplied to domestic and foreign wholesalers and retailers. Meal components are produced for industry in accordance with customer wishes. Quality, flavour and health are paramount. As a part of Vion, Encebe works on the basis of secure and traceable supply chains, and has an extensive assortment of organic processed meat products supplied from their own Vion Good Farming Organic supply chain.

De Groene Weg, a subsidiary of Vion, focuses exclusively on organic meat. The market for organic beef and pork is growing fast. Our twelve butchers in the Netherlands and our position as supplier for a number of large retail chains makes De Groene Weg the undisputed market leader in the Dutch organic meat sector. Since our beginnings in 1981, the company has been growing with the market to maintain its leading position. The company is also one of the European market leaders, selling some of its meat outside the Netherlands.

De Groene Weg is based on continuity and partnership, and farmers who supply their pigs to De Groene Weg are affiliated with a suppliers’ association. This unique position makes De Groene Weg a reliable supplier: we know exactly which farmers the meat comes from. This way, we can guarantee high-quality and delicious organic meat. Otto Nocker

In 2017, the products of the Southern German processed meats specialist Otto Nocker became part of the Vion product range. Otto Nocker was founded in 1930 and manufactures traditional Bavarian processed meats and bespoke products for – among others – regional supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, international foodservice customers and business-to-business. Otto Nocker is a strong regional brand in Bavaria (Germany) which we are expanding while retaining the exceptional quality to which Otto Nocker’s customers are used.

ME-AT

ME-AT responds to the growing demand for alternative proteins. Everyone can enjoy a piece of meat with ME-AT products. In the future, too. ME-AT represents “smart protein” – 100 % plant-based, yet still full of protein and starts with five new products: a vegan hamburger, minced meat, a crispy fillet schnitzel, fillet pieces and chipolata sausages.

Weylander

Weylander beef is Vion’s premium beef line, available at a variety of supermarkets. Weylander beef is specially selected to ensure that customers receive beef from high-quality cattle breeds. The products mature in the packaging, guaranteeing their characteristic beef flavour and tenderness.

Weylander has also introduced a range of vacuum-packed beef steaks, including flat iron, bavette, sirloin, picanha, T-bone and rump. Weylander beef is produced at Vion Enschede.
