CSR report
In April 2017, we published our first CSR report. This report was tangible proof of our commitment to key themes within the European meat industry. In November 2017, we were awarded one of the three Crystal Prizes by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, as the fastest climber on the Transparency Benchmark.
In 2020, Vion operated at level 3 of the Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare. This benchmark assesses the world’s leading food manufacturers, retailers and food service companies on their animal welfare management and transparency.
In our 2022 report, concrete results are shared on the important topics that are relevant for the future of the meat chain. It is the path to ‘Building Balanced Chains’ (BBC) in which sustainability aspects are linked to the product in the chain towards the consumer.
