Vion is an international producer of pork and beef with production locations in the Netherlands and Germany, and sales support offices all over the world. From our production locations in the Netherlands and Germany, we deliver fresh pork and derived products to national and international retail, foodservice and the processed meat industries. Basic raw materials are delivered to industrial customers who process the pork into a wide range of meat products. On top of this, Vion processes fresh pork into semi-finished and finished products for the domestic and export retail market.

Our premium hams
Customers can choose from a wide range of high-quality basic ingredients, semi-processed products and ready-to-use recipes. Thanks to our efficient production methods, we are able to offer our products at competitive prices. Our efficient production methods enable us to offer these products at competitive prices. One of our specialisations is the hams we have been supplying for many years, particularly to Italy and Spain, such as the Robusto ham, the Spanish ham, with or without V-cut, and the Speck ham, a boneless dry-cured ham. Our size allows us to select the very best products and choose the right hams.

Sliced products
Our sliced products can be supplied in all sorts of variations. The shape and thickness of the meat is tailored to the customer’s requirements. In Europe, people often choose the thick-cut variant, for example for bacon strips. In Asia, people like thinly sliced meat for use on the barbecue or gourmet.
Sliced belly is popular: meat and fat keep each other in a tasteful balance here. Collar is marbled meat, laced with fat. It is tender and full of flavour. We supply it in the shapes and thicknesses the customer requests, from 1 mm to 50 mm thick. Loin, the back muscle, is a premium piece of pork. It contains a lot of meat and less fat. For the real meat structure and meat taste. Thicker cut loins are very suitable as steaks for barbecue or grilling. Every slice, no matter which pack it comes in, has the full flavour you have come to expect from us.
Kasseler: Pure tradition
At our production location in Perleberg we have over 30 years of experience in producing traditional smoked pork meat – Kasseler. We know exactly what’s inside of our products.
First we cure our meat in a gentle injection process – this makes our Kasseler particularly tender and juicy. The special rubbing process with natural beech wood afterwards gives the Kasseler its fine smoky flavour and unique taste. Thanks to three high-modern smokehouses, we can respond to larger production quantities even at short notice.
