Boxtel, 2 April 2021 – Vion announces today that Peter Broeckx has joined its Supervisory Board as of 18 March 2021.
Peter Broeckx has broad international experience as board member in the agricultural sector and comes from a background of dairy farmers. He holds the Belgium nationality and served in many agricultural boards and institutions like Boerenbond, Agri Investment Fund, AVEVE and Covalis. From 2007 until 2015 he was president of Vlaamse Agromarketing (Vlam). Until recent he served as president of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch-Flemish co-operative for cattle improvement CRV (de Nederlands-Vlaamse Rundveeteeltorganisatie).
Theo Koekkoek, chairman of the Supervisory Board, comments: “We are pleased to welcome Peter Broeckx as new member of the Supervisory Board of Vion. His management experience in the agricultural sector will add value to the expertise of the current Supervisory Board.”
Vion also announces that Ton van der Laan has stepped down from the Supervisory Board after his second term expired on 18 March 2021. Ton has been a member of the Supervisory Board as of 24 April 2014. As of 18 March 2021 the Supervisory Board comprises: Theo Koekkoek (chair), Rogier Jacobs (vice-chair), Marieke Bax, Martine Snels and Peter Broeckx.
