Boxtel, Monday 20 June 2022 – Vion announces today that Leon Cuypers (43) has been appointed COO Business Unit Pork as of 1 September, succeeding John de Jonge (53), who will be leaving the organisation after a career of almost 30 years with Vion and its predecessors.
John de Jonge will leave Vion on 1 September having decided to take on a new challenge and accept a role as CEO outside the meat sector.
“John has made a significant contribution to our business over the past 3.5 years as COO Business Unit Pork, as well as in the preceding years. I thank him greatly for his commitment, support and efforts. We regret his decision but wish him all the best in his new job,” says Ronald Lotgerink, CEO Vion. “Leon has gained extensive experience in various positions within Vion. His current role as Director Business Development for our Business Unit Pork makes him an excellent successor who knows the business and processes well. I am pleased to welcome him as a member of our Executive Committee.”
